|Our yoga practice can only fully evolve into an independent practice when we understand some core centring principles relating to grounding, breathing and the spine. This, along with an awareness of how movement and support work within the body as a whole, means we can explore any style of yoga safely and satisfyingly. This is then also an ideal preparation for pranayama and meditation. We will explore practices relevant for the time of year.|
Saturday morning yoga workshops at Birdwood House ( Google Maps here ) in Totnes are an opportunity for more in depth yoga practice than is possible in a regular class. There is more time for explanation and questions and answers. There is a maximum number of 16 people, more typically numbers are around 12 -14 .
Levels of experience
The workshops are suitable for all levels of experience. It doesn't matter what level you perceive yourself to be at - there will always be something to learn. Whilst workshops are primarily experiential, there is plenty of time for questions and some discussion of yoga theory.
